What Music Lessons Are All About
Music Lessons with Marie Reeder embrace the idea that music is personal, expressive, and life-giving - and her teaching style reflects that. The goal is to help every student feel confident, inspired, and supported as they grow.
Whether you're a young beginner or someone returning to the piano after years away, lessons are tailored to your goals, learning style, and musical interests. Students are met where they are and guided forward with warmth, structure, and encouragement.
Piano Lessons for Children
Piano lessons can be one of the most rewarding investments you make in your child's development. Music builds confidence, focus, creativity, and resilience - and best of all, it's fun!
Mrs. Reeder accepts students as young as 3 years old, and her approach with children is gentle, structured, and joy-filled. In lessons, students learn:
Healthy technique and posture
Music reading and rhythm skills
Listening and expression
Music theory through games and creative activities
How to practice independently and confidently
The youngest students often begin with short, engaging lessons that grow with them. A variety of age-appropriate method books, ear training games, and visual tools are used to help young learners thrive - even if they're brand new to music.
Parents are welcome (and encouraged!) to sit in on lessons when possible, especially in the early weeks. Practice support is provided to help students make steady progress between lessons.
Piano can be a positive and empowering part of your child's life - not just now, but for years to come.
Piano Lessons for Adults
Marie is passionate about helping adult students discover (or rediscover) the joy of playing the piano. Whether you're starting for the very first time, returning after a long break, or simply looking to make music a part of your weekly rhythm - she specializes in teaching adults at every level.
Adult students include:
Working profesionals seeking a creative outlet
Parents learning alongside their children
Retirees fulfilling a lifelong dream
Musicians looking to strengthen their keyboard skills
Lessons are always personalized and allow you to move at your pace, explore the music you love, and make sure your time at the piano is something you look forward to each week.
